Welcome to Karen Brammer Photography

About Me.

Karen is an award winning photographer having won National and International awards for her photography. She is experienced with film and vintage cameras, digital cameras and smart phone camera photography. She is based in a 13th century Market Town called Shefford which is located in Mid Bedfordshire.

Karen’s photography experience has seen her in action at International and National sporting events from football matches, to high profile International & National Cycling & Volleyball events, to Cricket Matches and even Bowls.

Karen has worked with a wide range of businesses producing head shots for staff to product photography for marketing & promotional purposes and has even put together bespoke digital artwork that has been used at the Tour De France and other International Cycling events.

Karen is a very versatile and adaptive photographer and has worked with commercial businesses like Barclays Bank, various cafes and restaurants, florists and other bespoke creative industries, charities, the National and local press, the National Lottery Fund and the Heritage Lottery Fund, providing images for Walking/Historical publications and Authors biographies.

One of the many genres that Karen has excelled is in Macro photography of both insects and flowers and this has seen her win International and National recognition, with awards from the Guild of Photographers, a Special Achievement Award for her contribution to Photography, to featuring in magazines and Calendars namely the British Wildlife Trust.

Karen has run and organised popular photo walks in cities like Cambridge and London as well popular towns such as Hitchin and Shefford. The aim of these walks has been to get people looking at what is around them and has incorporated mindfulness techniques which have proved to be beneficial for both people’s mental well being as much as their physical health.

Karen is as comfortable in front of the camera as she is behind the lens and regularly live streams on Social Media, provides one to one teaching as well as workshops online for bigger groups.
